Stanford Pre-Collegiate Summer Institutes

Student Life in Stanford Pre-Collegiate Summer Institutes

Our online program incorporates robust student life activities that build community, promote personal growth, and inspire lifelong learning beyond the classroom. Each week, participants have the opportunity to attend higher education workshops, guest speaker panels, and occasional social events.

General Daily Schedule

Summer Institutes student life sample schedule

The majority of student life programming will occur between 11:00am and 4:00pm Pacific Time with the exception of two evening workshops.

In an effort to accommodate as many participants' schedules as possible, we offer events at a variety of times throughout each session. We will also make recordings of workshops available whenever possible for participants who are unable to attend an event in real time. Not all events will be recorded. Live attendance is encouraged.

Read more below about the workshops, events, and activities that participants will experience this summer.

Getting to Know Your Peers

This summer's participants will come together virtually from around the world. There are a variety of opportunities to help you get to know your fellow classmates.

Throughout the session, we will offer a number of workshops and events that participants in our online summer programs may choose to attend. These workshops and events are not required, but we strongly encourage you to attend at least one. With events offered in a range of topics and times, we hope each participant can build a personalized experience that fits their interests and schedule.

Events and Workshops

We encourage you to take advantage of the many opportunities to connect with peers over shared interests and to explore new topics beyond your academic coursework.

Please note that not all events will align with each participant’s schedule. Participants will receive a detailed schedule of events closer to the start of the program.

Participants engage in the InSpace platform for listening room parties! Create a spotify list with your cohort while you learn about your favorite genres. These online social gatherings promote socializing with your peers from around the world.
